Notification of food supplements in Lithuania is an important process regulated by the State Food and Veterinary Service (SFVS). The main steps of notification are:
Notification. From 15 April 2016, all food supplements placed on the Lithuanian market must be notified to the SFVS.
Preparation and submission of required documents. When submitting a notification, a sample of the food supplement label, data identifying the entity handling the food supplement, contact details, if imported from third countries - a laboratory test report of the food supplement, a document issued by the food supplement manufacturer indicating the product's ingredients and their purpose, etc. are attached.
